Energy

Energy markets are fundamentally changing alongside technological progress. We support you in developing the regulatory framework in electricity, gas, hydrogen and district heating markets and help to optimally cope with evolving regulations.

Market design. Development of a viable market design, assessment of the need of unbundling/separation, implementing Entry/Exit models, market and sector coupling.

Incentive regulation. Design and implementation of incentive regulations of monopolistic infrastructures, including determination of individual efficiencies, sectorial productivity, and appropriate cost of capital (WACC).

Pricing and Strategy. Optimal pricing of energy and network tariffs, measuring consumer preferences and willingness to pay, strategy development in evolving and increasingly competitive energy markets.

Competition issues. Integrated support in competition and merger cases, such as market definition, assessment of economic effects, «as efficient competitor» test, contrafactual scenarios.
