Biography

Jan Christoph Schlegel is an Expert Fellow with the Center for Cryptoeconomics and an Assistant Professor at the University of London. He is a leading expert in market design, in particular for the design of matching markets and auctions. Moreover, he works on economic and game theoretic aspects of blockchains and cryptocurrencies.

After studying Mathematics at ETH Zurich, Jan Christoph Schlegel obtained a PhD in Economics from HEC Lausanne with a dissertation about matching markets. During his PhD studies, he was a Visiting Student Researcher at the Department of Economics at Stanford University. Jan Christoph Schlegel has published in leading Economics and Computer Science journals and he has been invited as a speaker at several international conferences and workshops.
